United States Donates Personal Protective Equipment for Slovak Health Workers

Minister of Health Marek Krajci and U.S. Ambassador Bridget Brink signed an agreement for the United States to donate over 13,000 surgical masks, 650 N95 masks, 600 protective suits, and other personal protective equipment to the Slovak Republic.

“The protective equipment donated by the U.S. military will be used by Slovak health workers as they continue to administer tests and prevent a future serious outbreak of COVID-19 in Slovakia,” said Ambassador Brink.  “We are proud to support our friend and Ally, and we will emerge stronger together from this crisis.”

The personal protective equipment was purchased with funding from the United States Department of Defense and procured through local suppliers. United States military personnel will deliver the equipment to Slovak Health Ministry officials on July 21, 2020.
