According to official sources, Charles Fazzino, a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City, is one of the most popular and highly-collected pop artists of all time. He has worked for more than 30 years as an artist inserting a detailed, vibrant, and three-dimensional style into his pop artwork. Fazzino’s art is exhibited in hundreds of museums and galleries in more than twenty different countries and frequently works as the official artist for art festivals and events across the globe.
The U.S. Embassy in Bratislava supported Charles Fazzino’s work in Slovakia with a small grant that introduced young Slovak artists to popart through workshops with the famed artist, and an exhibition of his work at Victoria’s Gallery in Bratislava. Ambassador Bridget Brink together with Public Affairs Officer Tamara Sternberg-Greller opened the exhibition where visitors could view his detailed work up close and speak to the artist. During the opening, Ambassador Brink stressed that Charles Fazzino is part a pop-art legacy that was forged by pioneers such as Andy Warhol. She said that this is more than just this exhibition – through Fazzino’s work with Slovak artists in these workshops, he is teaching his method to the next generation of Slovak artists who will capture the brightness and joy of his work. This will have an impact on a whole new generation of artists in Slovakia, and is a true bilateral partnership.
We invite everyone interested in 3D pop art to visit the Charles Fazzino exhibition at Victoria’s Gallery in Bratislava from 10/30/21 – 11/30/21.
