Celebrating 17th Anniversary of Slovakia’s Accession To NATO

“On March 29, 2004 Slovakia joined NATO alongside Bulgaria, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, and Slovenia. That 26 nation alliance, which is now 30 nations, has been committed to mutual joint-defense and the peaceful resolution of disputes for over 70 years. The stability that NATO provides is the solid foundation that Slovakia, America, and all of Europe have built upon to advance our societies and economies. We were pleased to cooperated with the Ministry of Defense and the airbase at Sliac on a short video highlighting one part of the skilled and impressive Slovak armed forces and our work together. These young Slovak pilots are training to fly some of the most advanced jets on earth to keep their country safe and cooperate with allies.” U.S. Ambassador Bridget Brink
